5.1. Select and Find QuickBooks® file for recovery

Stellar Repair for QuickBooks® Softwareprovides option to select and scan corruptQuickBooks® file (QBW) along with it's QuickBooks® Backup file (QBB), if available.

Note: To start the repairing process, you need to follow someprerequisites.

Steps to select and find QuickBooks® file:

1. RunStellar Repair for QuickBooks® Software.

2. There are two options to select and find QuickBooks® file:
   1. Browse:Use Browse when location is known.
      1. ClickBrowseto select corrupt QuickBooks® file (QBW) or QuickBooks® Backup file (QBB).
      2. Openwindow appears. Locate file destination and select (QBW) or (QBB) file.
      3. ClickOpenbutton, the file path appears in the text box. ClickNext.

4. Select Backup Filewindow appears. If you have a backup file (QBB) of the corruptQuickBooks® file (QBW), specify the file path usingBrowse.

Note:ClickSkip,if no backup file is available orif you have already selectedbackup file (QBB) on the first screen.

5. Selected file path appears in the text box. ClickNext.

6. Review and Scanwindow appears.QBW andQBB (if selected) file paths are shown in thetext box. ClickScan开始这个过程。

Note: If you have more than one QuickBooks® version,SelectQuickBooks®version of backup (QBB)from drop-down list.

Note: If you don't have more than one QuickBooks® version,SelectQuickBooks®version of backup (QBB)will not appear.

7. After successful scanning,Scan Summarywindows appears withScan Detailsinformation.

8. ClickOK, topreview scanned data.

1. 2. Find:Use Find when location is not known.
      1. ClickFindto search corrupt QuickBooks® file (QBW) or QuickBooks® Backup file (QBB) in a drive/folder.
      2. Browse for Folderwindow appears. Select a drive/folder and clickOK.
      3. The software starts searching for (QBW) or (QBB) files in the specified drive/folder and displays list of all the files found after completion.

Note: At the bottom, the number of files found is shown.

2. • 4. Select the required file to scan. Selected file path appears inSelected Pathtext box. Click下一个。
     5. Select Backup Filewindow appears. If you have a backup file (QBB) of the corruptQuickBooks® file (QBW), specify the file path usingBrowse.
